iPhone Return Policy

My older iPhone 13 died on me and Apple Support confirmed it will not power on. If I were to buy a new iPhone directly from Apple online, can I return it within 14 days and avoid any restocking fees? I've seen some things online about a 25% fee as well.

Curious how to best handle as I was already planning to purchase the newest model after the 9/9 event and may be content just using my MacBook for the time being.

You can return any purchase to Apple within 14 days, there is no fee. You should confirm with Apple directly. There is no guarantee that any new phone will be revealed nor any known time as to when it may be available for sale.

Keep in mind that, even if Apple announces a new phone on September 9th, it probably won't be released that day. I think last year it was about a week before it was available for pre-order. And only the people who got their orders in with in the first minute or so got their phones within a couple of days. Most people had to wait. For some of the more popular models, they had to wait a couple of weeks.
