No refund for accidental subscription purchases

I have several accidental subscriptions because apples’ safeguards are very poor. i paid for several subscriptions I did not want refunds are always denied. Support team can only submit a request and then it is just denied two days later anyways, so absolutely no help here.

  1. Accidentally paid when I was told I would get a trial but obviously did not get the trial.
  2. Accidentally paid for a subscription twice. Two different versions of a subscription. How is this even allowed????
  3. Accidentally paid because I forgot to cancel the subscription and no warning. Only noticed afterwards.
  4. I can’t request a refund immediately after the mistake since Apple doesn’t allow it until the payment is finished processing, but waiting a couple days makes me look like the bad guy here. I didn’t ever want the subscriptions.

It Is so easy to make mistakes and there are not many apps available without subscriptions or payments these days, so I feel so cheated because it’s very easy to make mistakes but not easy to get a refund. I am not getting any refunds at all for the several mistakes I made.

Some I let go and just decided “oh well” but after a while these mistakes add up. I have a year subscription also that REALLY put a dent in my wallet!!!! It’s very irritating! I don’t want these subscriptions. I’m not trying to use these subscriptions for free… I’m just getting fooled into it by Apple’s poor safeguarding.

Questions

  1. Why am I not able to get the refund and why is it being denied?
  2. How do I get a refund? These were are reasonable refund requests (well now it’s very late but they WERE reasonable).

Apple is not here. This is a user-to-user forum and no one here works for Apple.

No one here can answer anything about Apple's policies.

Your best bet is to properly cancel any subscriptions you currently have and don't wish to continue so they won't renew.

If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button.

Scroll further down the link for instructions for non-Apple devices.

Things about subscriptions;

⁃ Deleting an app does not cancel the subscription.

⁃ A trial subscription must be canceled more than 24 hours before the renewal date or it may renew.

⁃ Many subscriptions are set to renew automatically until you cancel them.

⁃ If you see multiple subscription offers, as long as you don’t select one, the subscription shouldn’t renew.

⁃ If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, the subscription is canceled and won't renew.

⁃ An expiration date means the current subscription has been canceled but is available to use until that date.

⁃ Use Resubscribe/Renew if you change your mind about canceling the subscription.
