What is unknown network openthread.thread.home.arpa on MacBook Pro running macOS Monterey?

My home network have gone down. Two printers, my synology desk station and Home Pods are unaccessable.

An "unknown" network (openthread.thread.home.arpa) is appearing. I run MacOs Monterey 12.7.6 on an MacBook Pro (early 2016)

How to solve this?

openthread.thread.home.arpa is a discovery domain published by a Thread Border Router. It basically provides a slightly DMZ'd bridge between Smart Devices using the Thread protocol and your network so they can reach the Internet.

You normally shouldn't be seeing it. It's meant to be hidden - or rather, devices on your network using Thread connect to that domain, which is managed by a Thread service on your router.

Some Apple devices like HomePods also provide a Thread Border Router function so Smart Devices can be managed by your Home app.

What are you using to provide your Wifi network - i.e., what brand/model? You may need to reset it, or even factory reset it and reconfigure your network...
