How do I stop notifications from interrupting my Music on my AirPods?

With the new AirPod pros I notice that music stops every time a text arrives and then Siri notifies me and tries to read it. Very annoying when it's stuff that can wait or spam.

I think the solution may be to go into Settings>Notifications and under the Siri section DISABLE Announce Notifications which seems to have been set to ON by default with the latest iOS update. Fingers crossed!

AirPods Notifications Too Loud – How to Lower Them Without Changing iPhone Ringer? When I’m using AirPods, notification sounds (texts, alerts, etc.) are extremely loud. I would like to lower the notification/ringer volume when audio is playing through AirPods, but keep my normal ringtone and alert volume unchanged when the phone is using its built-in speaker. Lowering “Ringer and Alerts” in Settings affects both AirPods and the iPhone speaker globally. I don’t want my phone’s regular ringtone volume reduced — only the notification sounds in AirPods. “Reduce Loud Sounds” is not a good solution for this, and changing accessibility tone volume doesn’t affect notification sounds. Is there a way in iOS to have separate ringer/alert volume levels for AirPods vs. the iPhone speaker? Or is automation the only workaround?
