I want to update my IPhone 8 plus

Always storage full. And very slow.

An update will not improve the performance of your iPhone 8 unless you first start deleting data to the point where you have 20-30 GB of free space on the phone. More would be better.


Additionally, the iPhone 8 Plus cannot update to iOS 17 or the soon to be released iOS 18.


If you plan on running newer iOS versions like iOS 17 and / or iOS 18, you are going to need a new phone.

Your iPhone cannot be updated past iOS 16.


If your iPhone stops receiving iOS software updates support, it’s time to buy a new iPhone ⇢


Keep in mind, in a few weeks, Apple will be releasing a new lineup of iPhones!
