Solution: Macbook brightness automatically dims on wakeup

Solution that worked for me if your Macbook M1 display automatically dims upon wakeup even if you have Auto-Adjust Brightness disabled in settings. Sooooo annoying.


Step 1: System Settings -> Displays -> TURN OFF Auto Brightness Adjust


Step 2: System Settings -> Battery -> Options -> TURN OFF "Slightly dim the display when on battery"


Fixed it.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 14.6
