Stateful Firewall Install Stuck - Apple Community
Upon fixing the stateful firewall update issue, my wifi sometimes just doesn’t work. Although it indicates that it is connected. Restarting does not guarantee that wifi works after. This is really annoying.

Please be sure to read and follow those instructions.
When you're done with EtreCheck, you can simply drag its app icon to the Trash, or just leave it in place. It does exactly nothing when it is not running, and has no effect on your Mac.
That Discussion implicated "McAfee". Is it a factor in your case?
yes I uninstalled McAfee, because the update seemed to be always stuck. That warning is now gone. After that I began experiencing that my wifi just doesn’t work all of a sudden. I can turn it off and on or restart it and it doesn’t guarantee reconnecting. So sometimes it does suddenly reconnect but not with a certain pattern.
