erase assistant/ sign out of find my

I'm resetting my old MacBook Air using the Erase Assistant. They ask me to sign out of Find My by entering the password for an Apple ID. The Apple ID shown is the old email account that I linked it with. My Apple ID now is a new and different email account. However, all the passwords I put in are incorrect "Your account information was entered incorrectly". There is no option to change the Apple ID. Please help how can I change the Apple ID that is being signed out

MacBook Air 13″, 14.2

If you created a new Apple ID, then you may be able to recover the password for your old one via these steps:

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

If so, you should then be able to log into iCloud.com using that Apple ID and turn off Find My for that device:

Remove a device from Find Devices on iCloud.com - Apple Support

If that doesn't work, you'll need to contact Apple Support for further assistance.
