unable to connect Canon E470 to MacBook Air

unable to connect Canon E470 to MacBook Air. Tried via USB, wireless nothing works. There are no clear instructions anywhere. Any information will be appreciated

Unfortunately, this does not appear to be an AirPrint-supported model:

Have you tried the available drivers from Canon for macOS (which version?)?

https://in.canon/en/support/PIXMA%20E470/model


Wi-Fi may be better than USB in a case like this.

If necessary, try WPS for the printer connection to your Wi-Fi router (if the router supports it).

Make sure that your MacBook Air is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.


Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
