Why does my Apple TV 4K remote keep losing its connection?

My appletv 4k remote keeps connecting and disconnecting which, while frustrating, isn’t too much of a bother. What is really frustrating is that an icon pops up on the tv telling me every time it does it (which is about every four minutes). My question is, can you change something to stop the message popping up?

Try

  • charging the remote battery
  • restarting just the remote
  • pairing the remote again.

You’ll need to find the cause of the disconnect, and prevent that from happening. Are there nearby devices that send in the bluetooth frequency range, that could interfere? E.g. a cordless landline? A microwave oven?

The remote is constantly disconnecting and as of late, never works. I’ve gone through this issue with two Apple remotes on the same box, so I bought a new box… Apple TV 4K… Same as before… Same **** issues with the remote. It is so frustrating that Apple does not commit dedicated resources to this simple tool. They just need to do better!
