If there is any device in between the Apple TV box and the TV, then that might cause video issues, depending on specifications.
If you are not using a TV, then what else do you use for screen?
If you are using AirPlay or screen mirroring, then please specify that.
The devices all need to be HDCP compliant. That includes monitors, adapters, cables, switches or splitters, audio extractors, HDMI boxes, AV receivers, etc. Else you get no video.
If other commercial streaming services do play fine, then the issue may be with this one app.
Try this for any misbehaving app:
- Force-quit the app, then relaunch and try again.
- If the issue persists, force-quit the app, restart the device, then relaunch and try again.
- If the issue still persists, delete the app, re-download and try again.
- If the issue still persists after that, then contact the app developer for further assistance.
