Why is my mouse clicking on its own

My mouse or trackpad is clicking randomly on its own where ever I have my mouse, sometimes it will click out of a app and then click back in really fast it is happening as I'm writing this. I do not believe this is a physical trackpad issue. I have mostly deleted everything I have ever downloaded on my computer and other things. it doesn't seem to go away. I have in the past had an auto clicker but I have completely shut it down and deleted everything. I don't understand what's going on I have not factory reset my computer as I don't know how but I have put it in safe mode and that makes it go away but when I go back its still there. I have a MacBook Air 2017 version 12.7.6
