  • offload app to clear cache and re-install; pictures sending functional for a few hours, then initial issue re-occurs with same error
  • confirm that storage space is available; 101.82 GB out of total space of 128 GB
  • check network connections; 2 bars for cellular network, full bars for WIFI network
  • delete Exchange O365 account in Settings, re-add account, wait for emails to sync; test pictures sending

There is no inherent message size limit in the Mail client. Any size limit is imposed server-side.

In other words, you can create a message as large as you like.

When your client tries to send it, it basically says to the server, "hey, here's a message I want to send to <user@domain.com>, and it's 5MB in size", to which the server says "No! I will only permit messages up to 2MB!. Go away!"

That's the situation you're in - the problem is on the mail server, not the mail client. Nothing you do on your phone will change that.

If you have no control over the mail server settings then you'll need to find a different way to send the images (maybe a different email account, or upload them to a site such as DropBox and send the recipient a download link.
