2020 MBP M1 - Touch ID no longer works
2020 MBP running Sonoma 14.6.1
A few months and 1-2 MacOS updates ago, my Touch ID stopped working. I attempted to delete and re-add my fingerprint, and nothing was being read when adding it. I followed all of the steps in this post, including checking automatic login, cleaning the sensor and my fingers, resting my palm on the laptop and trying a different charger, nothing has helped. Apple Diagnostics has reported "no issues found"
This problem has survived at least 2 MacOS updates, including one beta update, and a complete system restore. I'm now on 14.6.1
I'm running out of ideas to try. I would imagine that Apple Diagnostics would have found a keyboard failure. Anything else I can try with this one? Thanks!
