MacBook Pro OS Ventura 13.6.9 able to print but not scan using my Samsung Xpress M2027FW .

Printer is recognized and working with my MacBook Pro but not the scanner. It shows as the default printer but gives me a message when I try to scan saying file not found. Then the little scanner box opens and it shows like it is looking for the item to scan but goes no further. Can someone suggest a work around or perhaps a new app to update the printer? Also on my applications icons the scan assistant that used to work shows up as a scanner icon with a circle and diagonal line through it .I am thinking that one of the system updates is responsible for this...but why is the printer still working ? Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you

Your Samsung Xpress requires a print driver to print. It also requires scanner software to scan. Check with the Samsung web site to see if a download is available for your device that works with the operating system you currently have working in your Mac. If they have one, download and install it and that should solve you problem. If none is available you can download and install VueScan to try it for free. It will print with a watermark until you purchase the app. It is good software and is well supported by the vendor. I have no association with VueScan.
