What should I do if my scanner is not recognized on my MacBook Pro running macOS 14.6

Running Sonoma 14.6. All of a sudden the scanner isn't working. I used a USB cable directly printer to laptop. (MacBook Pro). I tried from the printer (doc feeder) (Brother MFC 2700DW) and from the laptop. Help. Resintalled printer driver. Did all I know how to do..

I cannot make my MacBook Air scan on my brother printer/scanner MFC-J1010DW I have had this printer scanner (Brother MFC-J1010DW) since last December, but I cannot make it print or scan using the iPrint&Scan software available from the App Store. I have installed it and reinstalled it several times with no success. I know it's on my home wifi network because I was able to update the printer's firmware from the Brother site using my MacBook Air to do so, but the app seems incompatible. The only way I can make it print is the using the command key and the P key. But I really need to scan some stuff, and I have no way to do it. Is there some other software I can use? My MacBook is up to date with OS15.6.1. I tried getting help from Brother, but they are hard to get info from and insist the software should work. It doesn't! It just says it cannot find the scanner. Thanks for any help you can give me.

MacBook Pro OS Ventura 13.6.9 able to print but not scan using my Samsung Xpress M2027FW . Printer is recognized and working with my MacBook Pro but not the scanner. It shows as the default printer but gives me a message when I try to scan saying file not found. Then the little scanner box opens and it shows like it is looking for the item to scan but goes no further. Can someone suggest a work around or perhaps a new app to update the printer? Also on my applications icons the scan assistant that used to work shows up as a scanner icon with a circle and diagonal line through it .I am thinking that one of the system updates is responsible for this...but why is the printer still working ? Any suggestions are welcomed. Thank you

Scanner not available on MacBook Pro 2023 I have a Brother Multifunction printer from which Wi-Fi printing is not a problem, however, the scanner option does not appear in the printer window when I want to scan. I have reinstalled the printer a number of times to no avail. How do I get the scanner to show up on my Mac?

Have you installed, or reinstalled, Brother iPrint & Scan?
