Dual Monitor with Mac Air M1 chip
Can you set up 2 monitors with a Mac Airbook with M1 chip running Sonoma? I’ve tried 2 connector dongles and can only get a single monitor to work.

What about "unofficially"?
There is no dock, adapter, or piece of software that can add more first-class, hardware-supported display outputs to your M1 MacBook Air.
There are "workaround" products that can connect extra displays in a second-class way, using technologies such as DisplayLink (Synaptics) and its competitors. These require both a "magic decoder ring" chip set in an external dock or adapter, and the installation of special software on your Mac, and can come with significant compromises.
I believe that you can have one AirPlay display or Sidecar (iPad) display, on top of your one external display. Those methods, too, are not as good as a hardware-supported video connection.

The MacBook Air with the M1 chip officially supports one external monitor with up to 6K resolution at 60Hz.
There are some possible workarounds:
but they may or may not work successfully for you.

I am not sure, sorry.
You would have to do some research and figure out how to do that if it is even possible... and if it is, it can potentially have adverse effects.
I would not recommend it.
