How to Delete Unwanted Login Details in Safari

I am still wrestling with updating login details (changing email addresses) on various sites on Safari. I have found a number of entries in the Passwords list that I no longer want, but they will not delete when I use the available procedure. Please, is there a way that a non-expert user can remove unwanted Password entries?

I am using a 24" M1 iMac, running OS Sonoma.

Are you following this procedure: Change AutoFill settings in Safari on Mac - Apple Support?

Review all of those potential data sources. If the particular Autofill setting was deleted, then check to be sure the site isn't automatically logging you in, as they will if you select "remember me" or whatever terminology they use. If that's the case, the login details can be deleted by removing that particular site's stored website data: Clear cookies in Safari on Mac - Apple Support.
