how many studio displays can last gen intel iMac 27" support ? (2021 . radeon 5300.)

Hi .

I have an iMac last gen intel from 2020/2021 with radeon 5300 chip .

Has anyone utilised the desktop with more than one additional studio display?

Can the machine support

  • two apple studio displays?
  • one apple studio display + one 3rd party display?

If you are referring to the 27" Apple 5K Studio Display, the answer to both of your questions is "No." The Radeon 5300 variant can drive a single 5K or 6K display –at the cost of not being able to drive a second external display. The only way that your iMac can drive two external displays is if both have lower resolution than a 27" 5K Studio Display.

There are some long-discontinued, much-lower-resolution displays that Apple called "Studio Displays". If you are referring to one of them, please clarify.
