Hi, I plan to place a pre-order for the new iPhone on 13/09 for in-store pickup. If I successfully complete the pre-order and the pickup date is the launch day, will I be guaranteed to receive the phone on that day at any time during store hours, as long as I show up? Or will I need to arrive early to ensure I get the phone despite having pre-ordered it?

You will be guaranteed to get it once you receive the email telling you it's ready for pickup.
Pre-Orders are charged the moment they ship and as such your device is reserved specifically for you during the day it becomes available and for around 2 weeks after that, but after the specific time window you are offered wait times at the store can vary.

Not true. If you choose trade-in and have in store pickup they will inspect and take it from you there. I’ve done it before and the pre-order email clearly states this as well.
So my iPhone 16 says ready for pickup but my tracking still shows it’s in Kentucky. Anyone else see that?
