I have an apple watch ultra. I am on O2. They told me that they supported roaming for the watch. They do not. I have contacted Vodafone. They also do not support this.
Who does support this? Who is using a carrier and have experience of this working. I want to leave the phone in the apartment and have the watch connected when I travel from the UK to Europe / USA.

The list that Apple provide is incorrect. 3, O2 and Vodafone all confirm that they do not support and hence my question as the information Apple is using to sell watches is misleading. These watches do not work for a UK citizen to travel abroad. My question was to fish for those that may have found a carrier that did support so I can investigate further.

With watchOS 9.1 and later, international roaming is available on cellular models of Apple Watch Series 5 and later, Apple Watch SE and later, and Apple Watch Ultra.
To get international roaming on your Apple Watch, contact your iPhone carrier to add your watch to your iPhone cellular roaming plan. For international roaming to work on your Apple Watch, your carrier must support VoLTE and roaming. Not all carriers support international roaming on Apple Watch and coverage in other countries is determined by your carrier.
To turn on international roaming, open the Settings app on your Apple Watch. Tap Cellular, then turn on Data Roaming.
International roaming isn't supported on cellular models of Apple Watch that were set up using Apple Watch For Your Kids.
To cover the LTE and UMTS bands used around the world, cellular models of Apple Watch come in regional models for the Americas, China mainland, and Europe/Asia Pacific. Unlike iPhone, there isn't a worldwide Apple Watch model that supports all cellular bands used globally. Find out which carriers in your country or region offer cellular service for Apple Watch.

The Watch you purchase in UK is unlikely to support bands in US. Even many European countries and carriers may not be supported.
Your best resource will be the carriers themselves. They’ll know what bands they support and if roaming is available on a country by country basis.

I have a session booked with Apple store later this week to hopefully get to the bottom of it. I was told by Apple to remove the plan and then re load the plan. This did not work and now the plan will not load at all.
Problem is getting worse for me as I can no longer see the plan now I am back in the UK. Have done everything to unpair / re pair etc.
Vodafone confirm they do not support this... here is the exact language in the email I got this week "After thoroughly investigating your Apple Watch connectivity issue, we regret to inform you that the One Number connectivity does not function abroad. This means you won't be able to use cellular connectivity for your watch while traveling."
Did you also try to erase the watch completely, including the carrier settings, before pairing it again?

Yes, I have been through O2 and Apple and each time I am told to completely erase and start again. Nothing changes. Very frustrating.
You do have Data Roaming turned on, in the Control Settings or Setting app on your Watch, correct?
