Yep, that is part of the scam. They want you to download their app and subscribe to their service to fix a problem that you do not have. Good for you for not falling for it. It is much better to ask first then to deal with the consequences later.

Yeah, it's evidence of several kinds of scam rolled into one.
There's the blackmail one that threatens to publish clandestine naughty pix you and your browsing history
There's the "don't close this" and short countdown timer scam.
Lots of UPPER-CASE and exclamation marks!!!
There's the bogus use of Apple branding. You'd probably get that on an Android phone too.
And ... http://afoldloklb.com/ now returns a "403 Forbidden" error message. TLDR: "HTTP 403 is an HTTP status code meaning access to the requested resource is forbidden. The server understood the request, but will not fulfill it, if it was correct."
"Protect Connection" is not in the App Store, but I doubt it ever was, and they want you to click through to some web site that may not even resemble the App Store..
Yes.
it an ad designed to scare you into buying useless software.
Absolutely a scam.
If the developer of this app is in on this scam, Apple should remove the app from the App Store!
