Should Shut down or sleep my MacBook Air M2 every night before bed?

Personally, I always leave my Mac plugged in but in sleep mode (i.e. shut the lid) overnight. This is because the Mac carries out house keeping routines in the early hours of the morning but only if it's powered on.
I concur with the others; just letting it sleep is just fine. There will be no significant benefit to shutting it down every night, if any at all.
Regards.
Yes. There's no reason to unplug it. Your MacBook's charging circuitry will just stop the charging process when the battery is fully charged (or up to its limit as set with Optimized Battery Charging, as applicable).
Regards.
I think that sleep mode is enough, unless your battery life is already dying
FWIW, I shut down my computer whenever not using it. I leave it plugged in whenever convenient to do so.
So my computer is shutdown at night and it is left plugged in.

Whatever is convenient at the time. People spend a lot of time overthinking batteries. I close my MBP when I'm not using it (cats) but leave it plugged in when I'm home. In fact, I always keep my MBP closed when I'm not using it because it's much less likely to come to harm when it's closed.
Would you say I should keep plugged in while I let it sleep overnight?
