Autocorrect removing auto capitalization

My iPhone 15 Pro Max will autocorrect the first word of my new text or message to lower case. I have Auto Capitalization turned on. I have tried to reset the keyboard dictionary with no help. Slide to text works just fine. Deleting the word and retyping does not duplicate the issue. I have tried the full reset, turning off my spelling and turning it back on. I have unchecked all of the auto caps toggles.
