How can I locate my lost AirPods without using FindMy?

i lost my airpods and find my is not working. the sound will not play, the location hasnt updated in 2 weeks. i can use the tracker thing/the directions to my airpods thing. i dont know what to do and i cant loose another pair. i lost my other pair at my high school and i cant find them either and find my isnt working for those either. my new pair is in my house (so it says) please help!
