changed Google PW and now Mail doesn't open

My devices that are affected are: MacBook Air, iPad Mini, iPhone. Cannot access Google via password and cannot use iMail at all...can't receive or send, as I am using Gmail for my iMail account. I am considering uninstalling Mail and then re-installing after securing a new Google password that actually works. I have had this problem before when I have changed my Google password. After changing the Google PW I can't access GOogle on my other devices (iPad Mini and iPhone). I refuse to use Google Chrome as a browser. I use Safari and Firefox. Hopefully someone can help!!

This has nothing to do with the Mail application itself on your Mac. Can you log into Google.com via that account name and password using a web browser? If not, then this is an issue with your account there and you'll need to take this up with Google Support.

If you can log in via a web browser, then try removing your Gmail account from Mail (the account, not the Mail application) and readding it using your Gmail address and new password. If that works, do the same on your other devices.
