Apple Support Does Not Hear When I Press 1

I purchased AirPods Pro 2 from a third-party store on September 11th and need to change the warranty date. I chose live chat and phone support through iPhone Apple Support.

I got a call back. When the menu prompted me to press the number 1 to speak to customer service, I agreed. I heard a beep and the number 1 appeared at the top of the screen. The voice told me it didn't hear my response and hung up.

So I repeated the call back twice and got the same result.

Earlier I changed the warranty date from my iPhone again and it was successful....

If the Apple needs to answer the phone to verify whether it is a real person, it is recommended to adjust the voice content.

I had exactly the same problem this morning. I scheduled a call back for 9.00 am, got the call and was told to press 1 to connect the call. It never heard the sound of 1 being pressed (increasingly furiously). It hung up and then called again a few minutes later. Same problem.

Is there a setting in the phone that needs changing? If so I wish someone at Apple (or anywhere) could tell us what it is.
