MacBook Pro firmware lock problems

hi I work in a IT company and we had a Mac brought in by a customer with a firmware password on and we need to disable it however we cannot provide proof ownership to apple for them to disable it and we can not disable it ourselves what should I do ???

Only the person with whom the original purchase receipt is recorded with Apple can get Apple or an AASP to remove a firmware password. If it is a business owned laptop, then it will be whoever is authorized by the company to act on their behalf.....only Apple or an AASP can tell you what paper work is necessary to prove ownership & being an authorized person to act on behalf of the company.
