My Beats wireless headphones won't pair with AppleTV HD A1625

1. Set the headphones in pairing mode (see its manual on how to do that) to make them discoverable,
2. Hold them not too far from Apple TV,
3. On Apple TV, go to Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Bluetooth﹥…
4. Find the newly discovered headphones listed there under Other Devices; Select them to pair,
5. Once paired, any next use can be connected more quickly through the Control Center Audio widget.

they will only ever show up in the appletvs list if they are

1. in pairing / discovery mode
2. does not have an active connection with another device at the time, many of my bluetooth speakers like to connect with my iphone as soon as they are turned on, when they are that they would not be able to be paired with another device until disconnected from the phone first
