Home Automation with Sonos

Hi,

I’d like to set-up an automation to start the scene “music everywhere” on multiple sonos speakers at a certain time. My home hub ist a current appleTV and i have an Apple music subscription.

AppleTV is connected to a home entertainment system, which is powered on/off by a Philips hue switch. The appleTV itself has a permanent power supply. Sonos speakers are independent from entertainment system.

Issue is: The automation or manually triggering the scene is working perfectly fine as long as appleTV is not in sleep mode AND entertainment system is powered on. As soon as the entertainment system is off, no matter the status of appleTV the automation doesn’t work and the scene “Music everywhere” can’t be triggered manually.

Turning on the entertainment system everything works again.

How can i solve this?

Hello,

In the Home automation, add an action to turn on the entertainment system and a Wait action (of sufficient duration, perhaps 5 seconds) before all the other actions.

A Home automation can be converted into a shortcut where you can add all the actions you want and not be limited to control only a few devices.
