iPhone 16 with AT&T Carrier for Cricket Wireless ?

Hi, so Apple doesn't allow financing of unlock iPhone with the Apple Card. So I want to get one with a carrier to finance with it my Apple Card then just activate it with my Cricket Wireless eSIM card. Some say to get T-mobile because its easy to bypass the T-mobile installation ?? but I am confused as will cricket wireless esim card work with any iPhone ? Back then with SIM cards you had to check with provider supporter your small brand carrier. Should I get AT&T or T-mobile should be fine?
