Upgrade iOS for iPhone X

The UPI apps are only working on iOS 17 or higher. As i bought used iPhone X with the money I have and now I'm stuck with this. Even if it is not possible to provide iOS 17 to iPhone X atleast the security patches should be released so that the apps remain compatible with the iPhone X. Kindly look into it.

I’d expect this iOS version requirement is a component of a more general requirement for secure software and secure hardware and related APIs, as payment folks do tend to be sensitive about device and app security.

Why? Devices with the A11 processor and earlier have known hardware-level exploits; “jailbreaks”. These known hardware-level exploits are targeting iPhone X and earlier, and equivalently-older iPad models.

Complain to UPI. They are the ones who decided to no longer support iOS versions lower than iOS 17. Apple had nothing to do with that. The simple fact is you own an iPhone which is not capable of being updated past iOS 15.8.3. It is a very old iPhone, which cannot run the newer iOS versions because it lacks the hardware required. Apple cannot bring higher versions to iPhones which can't run them.
