Safari and Chrome download pages instead of opening them.

I have a macbook air, OS Sonoma 14.6.1. It has been working fine until last week that chrome or safari began to download any page I clicked. Also, the keyboard began typing symbols.

Try an external keyboard, it sounds like you option key is stuck down
