Messages, FaceTime and Photos do not work on my newly purchased MacBook Pro

I’ve recently purchased a macbook yesterday and my messages, facetime, and photos do not work. They either crash, never boot up, or if they do none of my contacts or pictures are synced from my iPhone.

Is this MacBook one you purchased as new from an Apple Store or authorized Apple reseller? If so, and you've not installed anything like antivirus, a "cleanup" app, etc.(in which case you should remove it) then I'd suggest you take the Mac back to the store and get them to help you sort out the problem or exchange it.


If you purchased this Mac used or from some unauthorized source, then I'd recommend that you erase it and start from scratch:


Erase your Mac and reset it to factory settings - Apple Support


There's no way to know what might be wrong with it or what might be lurking or just clogging things up.
