Why can't I update my iPhone to iOS 18?

I have iPhone 12 mini and I see the iOS 18 update but when I click “Update now” it shows update requested then it takes me back to the page where it says “iOS 17 is up to date.” FYI I have enough storage. What do I do?

my phone is just doing an iOS 17.7 update which is ridiculous because I have a newer phone than my daughter and she already has iOS 18. I don’t understand why I’m not getting offered iOS 18 why my updates are so behind.

I downloaded 17.7 first. Then when it was installed I went to software updates again and saw 17.7 was my current version. But now—at the bottom of the version page there was a link to update to IOS 18.

Nee phone got in mail yesterday did quick start but uploading iso 18 it froze. Cant ho any further. What can i do. How do we fix. Can someone at Apple stofe correct it. Im very frustrating. Need my phone

I think you’re ignoring our main question and our main complaint. Why aren’t we seeing that there is an update for us, obviously some people aren’t. I am not seeing that there is an update available for me. My iPad is telling me that I am up-to-date with iOS 17.7 do da. I use YouTube and know beyond a shadow of a doubt hundreds of streamers are showing videos of iPad iOS 18 running smoothly on their iPads now. Why is my iPad lying to me? I have an M4 16 gig one terabyte iPad Pro that somehow must be broken because it says I’m up-to-date and I know I’m not. Yes, there are millions trying to update iPhones and iPads right now but this is Apple‘s plan. Sad plan, sad way to treat the people buying their most progressive and expensive devices, but what do I know, they are the experts they have the sharp minds and the cash to execute any plan.

We’re having the same issue. We’ve been at it trying to get it to download for 4 hours now. It keeps saying it’s loading but then doesn’t do anything. It has the little loading signal but doesn’t actually move. We just got the phone brand new from Verizon. iPhone 15 ProMax.

Make sure your phone has an Internet connection – either through a Wi-Fi network, or through cellular data. The phone can't check for updates without one.

Me too! Idk what to do! I read someone say you must have cellular service and wifi to do install…and not to be hot spotting…. This “new” phone is a warranty replacement bc the !st warranty replacement(for a cracked screen) i received(one trying to change to new one) has a CELLULAR ISSUE DETECTEDAND I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO MAKE NOR RECEIVE CALLS/NOR TXTS& only way phone works at all is when i hotspot off my iPad so i am at a totaL LOSS AND WANT TO SCREAM!!! I updated my phone to iOS 18 and have not been pleased with it, the performance drop drastically,it has slowed down and I should not have updated, I am trying to update it to iOS 18.1 now but having trouble getting it to update, but from what I understand it has a lot of issues too, but iOS 18 has wrecked the performance on my phone so think twice before you load it

I have the same problem and solved by turning OFF the beta options here:

After that IOS 18 was at the bottom ⤵️ f the screen.

i have a iphone 8 plus and i have the beta and idk why its not working my phone turned off when i tryed to update so help please
