iPhone Mirroring and iOS 18

I've just updated my iPhone to iOS 18 and my iMac to macOS 15 and wanted to give iPhone Mirroring ago. Since updating my iPhone I added the new security feature to my X and Photos app which now requires FaceIdD when going to unlock them. When I try to access these apps via iPhone Mirroring it asks me for a passcode, I have tried the passcode I use to unlock my iPhone, the password to unlock my iMac and my Apple ID password but none of these work.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Many thanks.

Hi,

in my case, I needed to first connect the iPhone physically to the MacBook Pro.

As normal, I got a pop-up saying "Do you want to trust this device" and once I agreed, iPhone mirroring worked.

My steps:

-Plugin iPhone via USB-C to MBP

-Agree that I want to trust the device

-Open iPhone Mirroring App

-Enter Account Password

-Iphone mirroring functional.

Hope this helps
