I updated my ipad to ios 18--I can no longer use my apple pencil to draw, hand write notes. the key board comes up and the apple pencil doesn't work. I don't have the draw option. I've turned scribble on and off, only draw with apple pencil is on, I've restarted my ipad 2x. and nothing. :(

I also have the same issue. I prefer saving handwritten notes but the only time the pen works is when it transcribes my writing into text which I constantly have to correct. Very annoying and time consuming. Is there any remedy for this?

In my case, fortunately it was a false positive, a coincidence with the update, the tip of the Pencil had simply been ruined, and all I had to do was replace it to get it working as before.
