Hi all, I updated my iPhone to iOS 18 last night and since then some of my apps have turned white like this: When I click on the folder it fixes itself but when I donât have the folder open it looks like this. I have rebooted my phone but no luck. Is anyone experiencing the same issue ?

Thanks for the info. It would appear that there is data corruption that for some reason is causing the problem by showing the default icon for the apps. I would suggest a Factory Reset using a computer if possible and restore from a backup as that would also be done by Apple Support if you scheduled an appointment. Of course you want to have a backup before doing that.

Removing apps and putting them back in only worked for a day then it started happening again. Still trying to find a permanent fix for this.
Restarting my iPhone also fixed it, but only for a day or so. Started noticing it happening again at random. Kind of annoying.
This only worked for a few days and it's back to doing it again. I tried the restore from backup from my MAC as I have plenty of storage and force restarting did not work.
Same issue here after 18.1 update. Not happy having to restart phone. Come on Apple donât you check this stuff before you unleash it?
Did hard reset, turned it off and on, still the same problem. Glitch and faulty software upgrade me thinks.
65gb of space. Same issue second screen white folders. Another hard set. Issue comes back.

when i updated to 18.1.1, my dock had 3 new dock apps in it đ€Ź and my three pages of apps were restricted to 2 thus completely covering my kitty, toby--đ€

Initially, changing the icon size to small then back to large or vice versa would fix it, but that no longer works. Only way I found to fix it is to download the app as itâs only the offloaded apps with this issue.
I reported it to apple back on 9/20 and the status has been âpotential fix identified- for a future os updateâ but they still havenât resolved it.

Did you Force Restart your phone yet? This may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses correct and the last step of holding the side button until the Apple logo appears could take up to 15 seconds. Ignore anything else on the screen during that time.
