Side button for Apple Pay stopped working after updating my watch 8 series to Watch OS11

The double click side button on my series 8 watch for Apple Pay has stopped working soon after my watch got updated to Watch OS11. It’s really annoying now, as I have to take my phone with me , for training and gym. Please help.

I did a complete watch hard reset , and set up the watch as new instead of going with the back up. Added all my bank cards again. Still it doesn’t wanna work

Just to be clear, you’re pressing the side button and not the Digital Crown, correct?

No, I’m not offended in any way. It’s just odd, that’s all. I was thinking my descriptions may have been inadequate.


The last thing you can try is a forced restart. Please press and hold simultaneously the Digital Crown and side button. Hold until you see the white Apple logo. This could be 30 seconds or longer. Once the logo appears, release both buttons. Try again in a minute or two after the Watch fully restarts.
