iPhone lagging after iOS 18 Update

After today’s update, I’m facing immense lagging issue with the UI, while playing games ( graphics as Average) and typing pauses. System had utilised only 50% storage. What’s the suggested solutions?

Yeah, it is. After iOS 18, my iPhone 11 Pro is lagging more than usual. I’ve been using iPhones since iOS 9, and this is the worst release Apple has ever made, even worse than iOS 17. There’s no downgrade option either without erasing everything. In my opinion, Apple is now in a rat race, and I can’t trust their future updates and decisions without thinking twice. 👎🏾

same!! Also have a 15 pro max not even a year old and updated to iOS 18 last night. After my phone has been super laggy/glitchy. Examples like loading pages/sites on safari is taking forever, the widget for Apple News isn’t even showing anything and says “Apple News is offline” but if I click on it Apple News opens up like usual and I used Apple Maps for directions today for the 1st time (hooked up to my car) after the update and it took soooo long for it to load the directions and when I decided to take a different route than what Apple Maps wanted me too it freaked out and went into the load screen for a couple min trying to give me new directions. That has never happened before where it’s taken that long to find new directions, and I even had full service, before even when I’ve barely had service it found new directions pretty much instantly . It just seems like everything is so much slower now than it used to be and it’s not like my storage is close to being full or anything, I currently have 142 GB out of 256.

About a month later: 18.1 did not bring relief but the system is *slightly* less laggy. Persisting problems:

CAMERA continues to hang up and is the most frequent cause for initiating restart. The camera might appear to snap a shot but none is saved. (40GB storage space on the phone with 2T iCloud backup & storage optimization on)

Inability to MULTITASK: e.g. listening to music (an album saved on the phone so theoretically required less resources) and turning on the camera instantly freezes the system.

Issues with CALLS: regular but mostly WhatsApp - if receiving a call after having used other apps, like reading mags, chances are the call won’t come in smoothly ( inability to hear or be heard).

ISSUES I AM SEEING LESS OFF: Fewer instances of sticky keys, seem to be able to type normally. Dictation ok.

Same issue here doing iOS18. iPhone 15 Pro Max became really slow, glitchy, and UI refresh rate got slower, after doing the recent update 18.1 and enabled Apple Intelligence it is even worse performance, battery degrades significantly. It is 9:30am now and battery is at 33% with low power mode enabled, around 7am I left the house with 100% crazy !

The joke behind all this is the name Apple Support.

There are millions of people across the planet complaining about the same thing and apple are doing sfa about it.

Well today I solved the problem for me by purchasing a Samsung A55 Yippee back to the pleasures of android and Apple can take it iPhone 14 pro max and stick it up there hairy little arse.
