Contacts disappeared after IOS 18 update.

Same here. Contacts just vanished overnight. They aren't in iCloud either. Logged into everything, contacts are syncing w/ iCloud, but they're just gone. I randomly got 1 contact to reappear, but still missing quite a few. On 18.3.1

I have multiple email accounts. Only had my contacts linked to icloud. Not my corporate or gmail accounts. over 1000 contacts gone. This is unacceptable. There must be a fix or learn a lesson to NEVER trust Apple.

This just happened to me. Strangely it wasn't right after the IOS update. That update was installed several days ago, but contacts in iMessage and WhatsApp just got messed up today. You'd think after all the months of this issue being reported that Apple would have fixed it. But no. Very frustrating.

I spoke with Apple and they tried to help by syncing a mail Account that wasn’t ticked on to be sinking and they thought that would restore them, but it only restored a few of them and I’m still missing dozens

The problem is persisting with many contact names gone but the text message thread is still there with a phone number but no name.

i will be frustrated if it happens again, it doesn’t seem to be fixed.

Not only many of my contacts missing from my contact app, but they’re not in my cloud either. I couldn’t see older cloud updates from before the update since the current cut version was last updated one or two times by the time I saw the issue.

IOS 18 wiped out my contacts on my iPhone and my iCloud account.

I didn’t turn anything off I just applied the update.

From what I’ve read there is nothing Apple can do to fix the issue.

IOS not only wiped out ALL of my contacts on my main iPhone, it wiped out ALL of my APPOINTMENTS.

I am not going to update my two other iPhones!

Hi, sorry. All my contacts are completely wiped out from all my devices and iCloud. How did you get it back?

Same for me on the last two IOS updates in the last six months. Last time it saved 17, and this time it was 17, then went to 15. Friends, and family only.

I am so angry, I dont use any features on AIAIfouns just contacts, and 7 years of contacts are gone. Oh I hate my company phone so much.

Is Apple making a solution that anyone is aware of or are we all still just in a complaining mode?

Did anyone know if apple gave a solution? I re-save the contacts and after some days my phone delete them again :(
