The apple tv remote keeps coming up on my lock screen and I don't really use my phone to control my apple tv. Is there any way to get rid of it automatically popping up? I even tried to forget device via my Apple TV but still did not work.

Found the solution to be on the apple tv. Go to settings on the tv, remotes and devices, remote app and devices, locate your phone on screen and remove it. The lock screen issue should be resolved.
Only problem with this fix is... I don't have the TV app on my iPhone lol... Apple 🤦♂️

Most of the people are here because they use the remote and still want to use the remote so disabling anything isn’t an option.

This does work but is an idiotic fix for this. What if I want to airplay something? Now I can't just to turn this dumb thing off. I sure hope they fix this with the next update
