Why can’t my phone camera zoom to 0.5X or 15X?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro. I didn’t have this problem until 2 weeks ago when my phone’s back camera randomly turned black while I was recording. Now, I cannot zoom out 0.5x or zoom in 15x. My phone has the latest update (iOS 18), but nothing has changed.
