iOS 18 bug in Apple Music app

I contacted Apple support, and they advised me to reset all settings, which I did. Unfortunately, the issue still persists as you described. We're definitely losing our subscription money due to a problem we've never encountered before. I hope they release an update to fix this soon. I encourage everyone to reach out to Apple support and report any issues as they arise; this will help prioritize their fixing efforts.

It’s not a problem with a bug its just vocal shortcuts using your microphone

Is there an update with iOS 18 apple connection bugs? My music stops playing every time I pick up the phone or put it in my pocket. Also CarPlay is basically unusable as the music shifts from a notification/prompt volume to full volume depending if I pick my phone up. Its also is getting hot when playing music , also when I have my iPad near my phone and I’m listening to something on my iPad and a notification pops on the phone it automatically disconnects everything I have playing .So basically Apple Music is unusable !

Since I downloaded the new iOS 18 the day before yesterday, my storage has been reaching maximum capacity and the battery is draining super fast. Normally, with 4 hours of use, it would go down to 80%, but yesterday it went down to 40%. So, I started deleting WhatsApp conversations, deleted some apps, and started deleting songs when it gave me the alert. I ended up deleting +100 downloaded songs, and a few hours later, it told me again that my phone was full.

It turns out that the music is downloading automatically (had 250 songs in queue), even though I wasn't asking to download any songs and I have automatic downloads turned off in Settings. I turned off the cellular data option to stop it from downloading music, and I had to turn off Wi-Fi because otherwise, it would be downloading music automatically even though I have the option turned off and it's constantly telling me that my phone is at full capacity.

Anyone else with this problem?

I have a similar issue. I updated my iPhone to IOS 18 in iTunes. Immediately after the update iTunes lost contact with the phone. I no longer get the small icon in iTunes indicating the phone is connected. No matter what I do iTunes will not sync with my iPhone 11 running IOS 18.

For me it’s terrible lag and time out when trying to down load songs and/or add songs to playlists. Like it won’t even hardly work. Was just fine before the update = perfect and fast. Something is seriously jacked with the music app since ios 18!

my bug on the Apple Music after updating my Xr is my apple music library has disappeared and as if am not subscribed to a family plan(which i am).when i check settings i still have access to the family plan thus, Apple music etc but when i open the app it doesn’t show anymore

After updating to iOS 18 I’m unable to download any music from iTunes. Soon after the iTunes starts to sync with my iPhone it crashes. I made sure the vocal shortcuts was off so that was not a fix for me either

Mine was eating up data and space all of the sudden. Noticed i had 3000+ songs downloading and when i cancelled they kept coming back til i turned the download over cell network off, and auto settings. Was never a issue til using ios18

Since i installed IOs 18 , there are so many bug on App Music.

I have my own mp3 library (more than 70 000 mp3)

I crated before playlist by genre

So i hav big playlist which contains a lot of mp3

When i play a playlist by random play , the app crash i few seconds (average 20) after the play is started.

Another bug : when i listen a music and i want to add it on a playlist directly on the Music App : sometimes the app crash and sometimes the add responses arrive 40 seconds later ... It's not directly like before.

So now my experience to listen my own music on my iphone is so terrible! I hope you will correct this ...

probleme not solved ...

very long time to add a single mp3 file on a playlist . Even if i play next file mp3 on next button on random play shuffle . The name and sleeve cover doesnt appear.

Even if i look for a file on search with key word : before , if i typed "love" , all mp3 files with love word were diplayed . Now its' only 2 or 3 files.

Very deceived about ios18 ... They didnt thought that some people , sync all the music libraty mp3 files by itunes ....

Music App crash also when i play music....

Updated 18.0.1 too and same problems!!! We all need to flood Apple with tickets about this. I think the update was all about just addressing iphone 16 issues.....who needs Music, right? I like paying for bad app service!

The native music ios app contains a lot of bugs !
