iOS 18 bug in Apple Music app

Good luck getting Apple to respond to any issues. Worst company ever. I was having the same issue, so I deleted the app and reinstalled it and lost 40k songs from my phone and I can't sync them back from my PC. Apple can GAGF

What VPN's were causing the issues for you? I can't even upload any new albums from iTunes onto my iPhone now. Deleted two VPN's from my iPhone that were inactive and my voice vocal shortcuts were already turned off. I just don't get it. And don't get why Apple doesn't respond to help with people.

I admit, it does take some massive amount of guts to release a such a sad, broken update to an app/OS, leaving it in a condition like this.

The jumping back to a previous song bug, then freezing is horrific and should have never made it past QA. What a gutsy thing to put in to an app that worked well before.

iPadOS and iOS were installed with vocal shortcuts off and has never been turned on, yet I have this problem which occurs with two non-Apple streaming devices and AirPod Pro's. The music just stops playing. If I close and open the Music app the music plays for a while before stopping again.

Has turning off vocal shortcuts not solved this problem for anyone?

My issue on my i pad mini since upgrading to 18.0.1 is that when I try to to play or shuffle my play lists for music that I have downloaded it says I need to be connected to wifi. The reason I added all my downloaded tracks to the i pad was so that I didn't have to connect t wifi.

Is this type of thing typical with apple updates ? Does anyone know how to resolve this ?

After running the music app for a couple of days after the iOS 18.1 update, I haven't noticed the app freezing or crashing, or jumping back to 10 seconds before the end of the song. Seems to run pretty good, though in rare cases the song title and artwork doesn't update immediately after changing to the next song, but it's still running for now!

I synced my ipad today and lost all of my playlists. I too was also experiencing music cut outs on my iphone. I was also experiencing random cut outs when I was playing an album. God forbid a notification popped up or you touch the iphone.

I found a suggestion to delete the music and app and then reinstall and that failed miserably.

Same as my experience, need an update version, so unconvenient

For me it’s not only that the music pauses, but my phone reaches a very hot temperature for some reason and my headphones disconnect sometimes
