iPhone keeps locking / disabling despite not trying to put in passcode

My daughter iPhone keeps locking / disabling itself for ridiculous amounts of hours despite the fact the phone was switched off or locked to begin with. She knows her passcode. This has been a recurring issue on and off for the last two weeks but not prior to that. Please help with solutions. Many thanks
