As European customers, we're outraged that we are paying the same price for Apple devices as US customers but are being denied access to the same features. This is unacceptable. While the DMA regulations might play a role, It's apple responsability to ensure all customers, regardless of region, receive the full value of what we pay for.
This disparity should be addressed immediately. European customers should not be treated as second-class compared to the US. Apple needs to fix this issue .

This is purely on apple. Instead of playing nice with other companies by trying to make everything interoperable they are instead making sure that only their equipment is able to work only with each other on software and hardware level. I completely support EU in making sure that Apple opens up side-loading, starts using the usbc as I dont want to carry around many different cables that basically do the same thing when there is no benefit to it. And in general Apple should open up more. Apple is being a baby and complaining that it is too afraid to release some update in EU is fully on them as most android phones already have AI functions working in EU without any issues.
Complain to your government.
Sorry but is not the government to complain, but the company that want to operate on a territory asking the same money for inferior services.
Companies can't rule the world.
Because we live in EU. 🙂 You can thank them for that.
Missing in Spain too!
BUT WHY???
Bottle neck EU regulations...
'Apple's iPhone Mirroring, for example, appears to use Device Attestation. This is complex, but essentially means both Mac and iPhone know precisely what device is on both sides of a connection, and that the user is who they say that they are based on biometrics or passwords. DMA requirements would require Apple to make this work with Android, which is where Apple's security concerns come in.'
How does that make any sense? Once again the EU being overly regulative.
Does anyone understand what does iPhone mirroring have to do with the DMA?
It's not gonna be available this year due to EU enforcing DMA. It's coming eventually, together with AI which also won't come this year to Europe, but what you can do now already is to sign in to the Mac App Store with an non-european account. That's already enough to let you use iPhone Mirroring.
Actually, Apple Intelligence is comming to Denmark (EU) next month,
Næste måned kommer Apple Intelligence til iPhone, iPad og Mac - Apple (DK)
I hope this will include iPhone Mirroring.
IT'S MISSING IN PORTUGAL TOO

@Servant of Cats
The requirements doc you linked, explicitly states at the bottom: "If iPhone Mirroring is not available in your country or region, iPhone Mirroring tells you that it's unable to connect to your iPhone for that reason."
There is the geographical restriction. :-(
That's not how it works. Apple would have to allow third-party software that could potentially enable Android screen sharing. To some extent, this already exists with apps like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, and RustDesk. There's no rule that requires a feature to work on other devices. In this case, it’s purely Apple retaliating against the EU. On the other hand, AI regulation makes more sense, as there are EU rules Apple must comply with regarding user privacy, etc.
It says „this spring“ here (the French version of this article says April 2025):

You might want to check whether your Mac, iPhone, and configuration meet the system requirements for the new feature. I don't see any mention of a geographical restriction, but there are many other requirements.
