Podcast sync between iphone and PC itunes

when updating "read" "unread" and "download" podcasts between by PC and iphone, the syn does not occur. some podcasts are updated from iphone to PC and vice versa, but some are not.

I confirm that the settings on all the different podcasts are the same, but there is no realtime syncing going on.

currenlty I need to do the same steps (read/unread, download/remove download) on both the itunes and iphone, which makes the syncing useless.
