Playing an episode from the Up Next doesn't open the app for the service

Restarting the device by going to Settings->System->Restart resolved the issue. Good ol' "turn it off and on again."

I've done that, it makes no difference. Notice the instructions on both are to get the app, not open it, even though it's already installed.

This worked fine until this last week, and Paramount+ is still the only app with this problem. Or I should say, it's not the only one AppleTV is consistently failing with. There's got to be something in the TV OS itself causing the problem, some setting that got changed with a new release that broke existing functionality (something Apple excels at doing).

Unfortunately it didn't work, once removed from Up Next the show didn't come back into the list.

Opening the Paramount+ app from within the slide out menu in Up Next also still prompts to subscribe to the channel, even though I'm already subscribed. You can see in the pic below what I mean. The app is installed, but AppleTV still tries to get me to subscribe through Apple and doesn't recognize the existing subscription.
