iPhone 16 Pro Max Screen Unresponsive

This is bad. I open a browser and can’t type anything or even put the cursor in the search box.

This is a $1000 doorstop if they don’t fix this. Get some scrum masters that know what they are doing. The state of development, UX, and software testing in the US is getting pathetic.

I bought the 16 pro max last week, and omg !

the keypad is killing me !! It’s sooo unresponsive! I have to tap on every letter 2-3 times to finally get it to type !

it’s really annoying me!

the whole phone whether it’s the software or the hardware is laggy! Pls help !

what should we do ?

I have the same issue. The keyboard doesn’t recognize touch, I have to hit the screen hard to make it type. Moreover the battery drain is crazy, even though 16 pro max is claimed to have the best battery.

Apple has released iOS 18.0.1, which resolves this issue and many other issues such as:

• Camera may freeze when recording macro mode video on the Ultra Wide camera in 4K with HDR turned off on iPhone 16 Pro models
• Messages may unexpectedly quit when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face
• Performance may be impacted due to an issue with memory allocation on some iPhone models

After the upgrade this iPhone 16 pro max still with all the issues, freezing, and when I tap something doesn’t respond, I have to close the application to work and extremely slow, feeling like returning the phone and go back to my 13 pro max. Apple needs to fix this issues!

I’m hitting the send arrow HARD and the emojis etc and it doesn’t respond. Brand new phone. No screen protector.

ALSO I’m running the 120

hz refresh rate and quite often I get static bars across the screen vertically. At first I thought it might be interference with my computer or something but it’s happening more frequently

On Friday I purchased two iPhone 16pro 256gb one in white and one in titanium grey or back what ever it was. The white one so far no issues. My one though …… well here goes the issues of only 3 days in

unresponsive touch screen

screen lag

camera shuts down when opening app then black screen

apps not working properly

phone heating up

the loss of 45% battery in an hour

no sound

unable to make calls despite having signal

keyboard slow

I thought it was just me and my nails but it’s been happening today constantly and it’s very annoying! I kinda miss my 14 pro max! Never had issues with screen not responding! Thinking of returning this iPhone 16 pro max!

That is so super annoying!

I upgraded my iphone 13 pro max to 16 pro max and it is giving me so much trouble with 10x additional repitition to text or write compared to my previous phone, and I started having hand/thumb pain because of that!! I am very upset and don't know how to fix it?

Same mine’s been like this since the first day took the screen protector off and it’s a little better but not much and there’s no reason it should be like this wish I had stayed with my 14 Pro Max as the phones a total pain

I know I've should have stayed with my iPhone 14 pro max. It was flawless and the screen response through plastic screen protector and glass protector. My iphone 16 pro with plastic, glass or no screen protector works like ****. its so annoying that the screen response to touch is HORRIBLE,

APPLE; please come up with resolution. I'm about had it with this new phone.

Myself as well. In a strange way, I’ve come to love AutoCorrect as it saved me multiple times, but it’s like everything’s just a little off. It’s like a shade off and I get the next number or letter to the left side. Everything is skewed left.

I have the same problem with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. I even took off my screen protector to see if it still did it, and it did. It is so annoying! Sometimes, I have to tap on my screen four or five times for it to register.
